Christian Care and Bereavement Ministry

The UBC Christian Care and Bereavement Ministry is to serve God’s people through loving support. We assist individuals in coping with the trials of bereavement using scripture and prayer. The Ministry provides referrals and additional resources to our brothers and sisters who are experiencing grief.
Some examples of what we offer include:

  • Assisting with funeral/homegoing/memorial arrangements
  • Sending out initial and anniversary cards
  • Sharing and sending pertinent grief literature
  • Offering support groups and programs
  • Hosting annual widow and widowers’ event

The UBC Circle of Love Ministry’s Mission is a Christ-Centered Bereavement Support Group providing comfort, Spiritual nourishment and peer group support. The goal of UBC’s Circle of Love Bereavement Support Group is to facilitate emotional healing & wholeness through Christ-Centered wholistic treatment methodologies. Scripture: Psalm 119: 49, 50 (Berean Standard Bible).

The UBC Health & Wellness Ministry is a multi-diverse service driven ministry that promotes physical well-being among the congregation, aligning with the church’s care mission. We provide basic emergent care within the scope of our practice. We serve our God, Pastor, church and community. The only prerequisite is that you have a heart to serve God, serve others, dedication, caring, patience, compassion and a genuine love for people.

Stephen Ministers CONFIDENTIALITY serve and support the Union Baptist Church members and community. This is done by walking alongside, caring about, encouraging, and providing emotional/spiritual support to people who are going through a difficult time.

Our mission is to:

• To build a Union Baptist Church Stephen Ministry based on a biblically strong foundation.
• To support Pastor William with a team of gifted, trained, and committed lay caregivers ready to minister to hurting people.
• To augment existing ministries by working cooperatively and collaboratively in meeting the needs of God’s people
• To build up the universal Body of Christ AND reach unbeliever or unchurched through one-to-one distinctively Christ-Like confidential compassionate care when they are going through challenges and life changing situations.
