HOME MISSIONS AT UNION BAPTIST CHURCH

Union Baptist Church is dedicated to empowering our congregation to make a difference right where they are through our home mission initiatives. From local community outreach programs to service projects, there are always opportunities for every member to actively engage in spreading love, hope, and compassion in our neighborhoods. Join us as we work together to make a positive impact close to home.

Food Service Ministry

The UBC Food Service Ministry provides meals and other items (i.e., clothing, non-perishable items, monthly Food Truck, and food cards) as needed to as many people as we can in this community in a wholesome and Christian environment. To provide a friendly environment while introducing them to or re-acquaint them with Christ by sharing the quarterly Daily Bread and Bibles upon request.

Our goals are to:

• To continue to increase senior participation.
• Seeking other grants to supplement and increase the services presently being offered.
• To encourage more participation and attendance to our worship services and other programs offered at the Union Baptist Church.

Born out of Union Baptist Church, this organization provides training and education for young girls, inspiring them to become conscientious, confident, and productive members of society. Their goal is “Mentoring young girls into confident young women.”

The UBC S.O.S. (Serving Our Seniors) Ministry’s mission is to be a blessing to seniors aged 65 and above, who are members of Union Baptist Church and/or live in the community. Seniors are often faced with health, mobility, and other challenges, and many are lonely. Although they are resilient, they often need the support of a caring community. We will do our best to support them by, among other things, making wellness calls, acknowledging them on their birthdays, reaching out to them on some holidays, providing services as we are able, helping them to find resources, and presenting workshops of interest to them and fellowship opportunities.
