UBC CHRISTIAN CARE AND BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY
The UBC Christian Care and Bereavement Ministry is to serve God’s people through loving support. We assist individuals in coping with the trials of bereavement using scripture and prayer. The Ministry provides referrals and additional resources to our brothers and sisters who are experiencing grief.
Some examples of what we offer include:
- Assisting with funeral/homegoing/memorial arrangements
- Sending out initial and anniversary cards
- Sharing and sending pertinent grief literature
- Offering support groups and programs
- Hosting annual widow and widowers’ event
UBC DEPARTMENT OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
The UBC Department of Christian Education is to make disciples for Christ, consistent with Matthew 28:19-20, and help the members of UBC, old and new, to grow towards spiritual maturity. It is our goal and desire that through the teaching ministry all members of UBC will:
1) Be better equipped to win souls for Christ
2) Come to know God, love God, love the word of God, love the things of God and the people of God better
3) Be progressively conformed to the image of Christ
Because our aim is to reach members and non-members alike and to develop the total person — spirit, mind, and body — we will accomplish these goals by providing a variety of study and growth opportunities. These include consistent Bible study, Sunday school for adults and children, children’s church for children between the ages of 4 and 12, teen church for teens between the ages of 13 and 18, and beneficial seminars and workshops, both Christian and secular.
UBC CIRCLE OF LOVE MINISTRY
The UBC Circle of Love Ministry’s Mission is a Christ-Centered Bereavement Support Group providing comfort, Spiritual nourishment and peer group support. The goal of UBC’s Circle of Love Bereavement Support Group is to facilitate emotional healing & wholeness through Christ-Centered wholistic treatment methodologies. Scripture: Psalm 119: 49, 50 (Berean Standard Bible).
UBC C.A.R.E.S
The UBC C.A.R.E.S. Ministry is a volunteer Christian ministry within Union Baptist Church designed to enhance the educational development of our children and broaden the knowledge base of our adults. We volunteer our time to this worthy cause because we are concerned about the education and spiritual welfare of our children. Our aim is to influence the lives of our youth in a very positive way through: Counseling, Advocacy, Resources, Educational enrichment, and Spiritual Support.
