Hospitality Ministry
The UBC Hospitality Ministry is to provide a warm welcome to visitors and guests, as well as the congregation, when they enter the church. By doing so, we hope visitors will want to return to Union Baptist Church and find spiritual enrichment to eventually become disciples for Christ.
Members of the Hospitality Ministry serve once or twice a month on Sundays in the Narthex (church lobby) prior to the 10 am service, and briefly in the Sanctuary at the beginning of service. Hospitality Ministry members distribute a “Welcome” packet to first-time visitors that contains information on the church and a welcome card for the visitor to complete.

Flower Ministry
The UBC Flower Ministry is to beautify the sanctuary throughout the year with fresh flowers and plants, highlighting the seasons of the birth and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is done by accommodating members of our church family and others wishing to place flowers in the sanctuary in memory of a loved one or for special occasions. Members of the Flower Ministry share the responsibility of caring for and distribution of altar flowers and decorating the Church for Resurrection Sunday and Christmas. Ministry meetings are held at least three times a year.

Greeters/Ushers
The UBC Greeters and Ushers Ministries are to glorify God by extending a warm welcome to every member and visitor of Union Baptist Church. We demonstrate a heart of service by projecting a positive attitude and spirit and being attentive to the needs of the congregation.
Our attitude exemplifies:
Love: A genuine concern about the congregation and their needs.
Joy: A desire to honor God through service.
Patience: Understanding before reacting.
Faithfulness: Members and visitors of Union Baptist Church can depend on the service of these Ministries.
Gentleness: Greeters can apply a quiet but effective voice to every situation.
As a Greeter, you will be observant in service, resolving problems as they arise to ensure a seamless worship experience.
